Job Description
Production Planner - Motherwell, Scotland What are we looking for? Due to a crucial new project within our organisation, we have a fantastic opportunity for a strong and motivated Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Motherwell immediately on an 18-month fixed term contract. As a Production Planner , you will be responsible for delivering tactical activities of purchasing goods and services from defined contracts with stated terms and conditions. You may also be involved in occasional one-off negotiations for non-standard or off-contract buys, low dollar volume buys or items that are not strategically sourced. Key Responsibilities: * Help to analyze the requirements outlined by the customer, and through experience and use of the necessary company resources: ensure a high rate of success on orders, ensure that responses and proposals are delivered on time and with the highest regard for quality, and continually seek out ways to improve the way we serve our customers * Review and monitor purchase requisitions * Small-scale project management * Use safe practices * Tackle clearly defined problems * Tackle material related problems * Ensure timely material ordering * Ensure compliance with Honeywell Operating System * Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance * Provide data and analysis * Resolve shortages and potential shortages Skills & Experience We are looking for? * You must have experience in planning within a manufacturing environment. * You will have good knowledge of concepts, practices, and HSE procedures. * You have great analytical and problem solving skills. * You will have outstanding communications skills.
