Manufacturing Process Engineer - Motherwell, Scotland What are we looking for? Due to a crucial new project within our organisation, we have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Motherwell, immediately on an 18-month fixed term contract. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer , you will be responsible for working across multiple teams to ensure quality is being maintained in all factors of production. Key Responsibilities: * Support production line, through defining process's, updating documentation, creating documentation * Drive accurate Bill Of Materials to ensure we buy the correct amount of raw material. * Skill up on Engineering Change processes ECR/ECO. * Reduce process fall out which drives reduced inventory. * Drive continuous improvement on cycle times, Drive & coach people to adopt continuous improvement attitude and methods. * Drive our HSE compliance to the highest standards, and near miss reporting * Look for opportunities to improve our Leadership Standard Work to drive more effective processes and meeting events. * Performing Non-Routine Risk assessments and driving these into our standard Work documentation. * Adhering to the Management of Change process for any line changes. * Designing ergonomically assessed work stations. * Speedy support to improve our response time to customer returns/investigations. * Key contributor to Cost of Poor Quality Reduction. * Utilise the NPI/VPD process to drive quicker market. solutions to our customers working with global NPI project teams. * Effective use of Route Cause Corrective Actions tools such as Rapid Problem Solving process. * Look for Value Engineering opportunities to drive out process cost through reducing labour or/and material content. Skills & Experience We are looking for? * HND or Degree in Engineering Discipline or appropriate years of engineering/product experience. * Driving HSE into SWS and JIS documentation. * Drive our QMS compliance to the highest standards * Build quality performance into the product build clearly documented in the SWS/JIS. * Use Statistical Process Control tool kit to drive stable processes. * Demonstrable process engineering experience and understanding
