Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE Liberty Speciality Steels currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our site at Brinsworth, Rotherham. Reporting to the Team Leader/Shift Engineer, the Electrical Technician will assist in the efficient operation of the electrical function. Following routine planned schedules, the postholder will be required to respond to breakdowns, and also provide reactive and preventative maintenance to a heavy engineering plant. The Electrical Technician will work to a good standard of health & safety in a team working environment. REQUIRED SKILLS The Electrical Technician will have the following skills and experience; * Recognised Electrical apprenticeship * HNC level qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering would be an advantage * Electrical experience of heavy manufacturing industry and associated electrical equipment would be an advantage * Experience of crane maintenance would be an advantage * PPM systems / inspections and condition monitoring * Good level of problem-solving awareness and fault finding * Reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns * Demonstrate good housekeeping awareness and standards * Experience of adhering to SWP's, risk assessments, procedures and permit systems * Team working, worked within a team and / or capable of self-direction BENEFITS * 39 days holiday * Up to 16% combined pension contribution * Access to Occupational Health * Career progression GREENSTEEL - Come and be a part of our vision for a brighter future for the UK steel industry.
