Overview

Staffbase is recruiting for the position of Maintenance Electrician to work at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Rotherham. The successful applicant will join the busy maintenance team to perform electrical & mechanical maintenance activities in a foundry, fettling shop, machining facilities and heat treatment departments. The Role: Reporting to the engineering manger you will be required to undertake scheduled and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance activities on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities. We are seeking candidates who have previous experience in maintaining automated and semi automated production equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. You duties will include but is not limited to the electrical fault find and repair, maintenance and service of: Furnaces (Induction, Rollover, Heat Treatment etc.) Conveyors Vibrating screens Control panels Robots Relays. timers, sensors (single phase) and (3 phase) Hydraulics, pneumatics, Motors, invertors. pumps, valves PPM Candidates: The successful candidate will be a time served electrical maintenance engineer with excellent fault find and repair skills in single and 3 phase electrics. You will be a team player and you will demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. You will hold 18th edition certification (or equivalent) and candidates with NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering would be preferred. Previous work experience in heavy industry environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 40hrs Rotating Shifts earlies, afternoons & nights Overtime available Benefits: Excellent basic salary OT £36K-£40K realistic 28 days annual leave Superb earnings potential
