We are currently seeking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our expanding team of casual social care workers providing support to individuals with learning disabilities to gain skills for independence. The service comprises of Supported Living Services across Rhondda Cynon Taf therefore, you will be able to work flexibly and innovatively to meet individual's needs and contribute to the development of the Service. Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, as successful applicants will be encouraged to bring their own life experiences and skills to the role. You will be provided with an induction, ongoing training and supervision to carry out your work effectively. To join our dedicated and professional team you will have obtained or demonstrate commitment to work towards the care qualification (QCF level 2) and you will be supported to register as a care professional with Social Care Wales by April 2020. Due to services being delivered 365 days per year, the successful applicants will have opportunity to cover a range of shifts, including but not limited to; evenings, wake nights, weekends, and Bank holidays including Christmas & New Year. Sleep-in duties are also part of the work pattern for which additional payments are made. Due to requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000, applicants must be 18 years or over. It is essential that you possess a full driving licence as there may be the requirement to transport individuals in their mobility vehicles.
