Otis is now seeking to recruit a talented NEBOSH Diploma & IOSH Technician/Chartered Qualified Regional EHS&Q Manager who has gained experience in managing EH&S requirements within ideally the Lift Industry - otherwise from a construction / engineering installation environment. This role is to take responsibility for all Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety matters across Northern England & Scotland regions, supporting our New Equipment Installation, Modernization and Service divisions. You will be field based spending time on our construction sites and also with our teams based from any one of the five northern hubs (Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool & Leeds) Day to day responsibilities will include + Supporting operations to implement the EH&S requirements including EH&S Management System, Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR's), Cardinal Rules, Standard Practices (SP's) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI), + Keeping abreast of new legislation, developing and delivering training programs, + Investigating and following up accidents, + Identifying root causes, developing corrective action plans, + Proposing improvements to safety and environmental management systems, EH&S projects, + Ensuring timely reporting, participating in regional and operational management meetings and providing cover for the rest of the UK EH&S team The key objectives will be to work with line management, EH&S team members and operations to provide support and direction to implement corporate and business EH&S programs and processes that will ensure compliance with local EH&S regulations and Business standards. You will also be supported to develop and train to incorporate Quality standards to ISO 9001 In order to be considered you will be a proven EH&S Manager from an organisation with multiple sites (ideally construction / engineering service and installation or field based mobile workers) and possess a NEBOSH diploma and IOSH Technician / Chartered. You will possess a hands on and flexible approach but with the capability to thrive in a data hungry, fast paced and demanding corporate environment. To be successful in this role you will: + You will be IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, + Have the ability to produce reports, training material and present findings. + Your key experience will include implementing EH&S programs, undertaking audits, accident investigation and identifying corrective actions. + However as important as all of these criteria is your ability to build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to truly engage your community to embrace EH&S in all they undertake.
