Digital Engineering Practice - Solution Architect - London - Cognizant Digital Business Cognizant Digital Engineering: Cloud-native is about how applications are built in the cloud. It is an approach to software modernisation, building and running applications in such a way that fully exploits the advantages of the integrated Agile-DevOps-Cloud delivery model. Our Digital Engineering practice is responsible for helping our clients leverage next generation software in order to engage customers more directly, easily and precisely by developing production ready applications at record speed. The vision of Cognizant's digital engineering practice is to "Enable Cognizant's clients succeed in a rapidly changing, hyper automated, cloud-first world". The team delivering this vision is one of the most visible teams in Cognizant UKI, helping Cognizant's large clients pivot from traditional software development to cloud native engineering, helping clients adopt high velocity pod based working model and enabling clients to deliver business outcomes with greater agility, productivity and effectiveness. Our digital engineering practice leverages cloud technologies, seamlessly marrying it with human insights & behaviors to develop solutions that not only uncover consumer's wants and desires today, but also predict their behavior and requirements in the future. We look for results driven, client focused and collaborative Digital Sol Architects in various industry domains such as Banking, Retail and life sciences to help our clients transform their digital engagement interaction and achieve disruptive benefits. Essential Skills & Experience * Deep understanding and ability to talk convincingly through ideas centered around modern digital enterprises such as product centric org structures, pod based delivery model, TDD/BDD, deep understanding of DevOps, Scaled agile (Safe 4.0 or above), microservices, containerization, serverless, hybrid hosting patterns such as private, public cloud (Azure/AWS), PaaS (OpenShift, Cloud Foundry) * High degree of comfort and ability to talk through approach to perform app portfolio analysis, identify candidates for cloud native journey: re-host, re-platform, re-architect etc. * Ability to lead level-1 client workshop using domain driven design techniques * Proven and strong skills with ability to formulate conceptual solutions including design and technology to business problems. * Proven results in consultative selling approach * Prior experience forging relationships at Director, VP, and CXO levels * Experience in understanding client requirements and mapping to Cognizant service offerings * Proven leadership qualities with excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong oral and written and interpersonal skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills * Previous experience in leading digital accounts with responsibility of growing accounts in excess of 10-20% YoY on a base of $5-$10 Million Education background * A Bachelor's degree in Engineering * MBA or advanced degree in related field (desirable) Role & Responsibilities: * Forge relationships with Technology VP/CXO decision makers within client organizations * Overseeing technological, architecture and design decisions and recommending corrective actions if needed * Have the opportunity to define and overview a consistent agile development process according to the team and customer expectations * Recommend strategic code reuse opportunities across the company * Conduct technical reviews, audit projects and ensure best practices are followed * Generate capacity plans to enable team growth * Stay up to date with state of the art technology trends to propose new features and provide value and innovative solutions to our customer * Create and execute a high level development plan based on multi-year technology roadmaps for one or more projects * Define technical profiles, performance and training standards * Complete performance reviews for his/her team members * Participate in the software development community in some capacity: meetups, blogs, Stack Overflow, open source projects, etc. * Participate in the hiring and interviewing process of technical profiles * Participate in the development of pre-sales proposals and sales pitches, providing the required information for RFPs * Map client organization, build extraordinary relationships with new business units, build a consultative sales strategy for developing new business opportunities * Mentor and coach a team of Tech Leads and Architects * Influence a large team or multiple teams to achieve their goals * Support end-to-end lead generation, sales and RFI/RFP processes * Support revenue generation by scoping, structuring, and leading digital engagements * Envision and create new opportunities within existing and new businesses * Handle risks and issues related to the ...
