Job Description

CGL Positive Choices young people's service provides a fully integrated risk taking behaviour (Substance Misuse, Sexual Health, Unhealthy Partner Relationships and Hidden Harm) service across Coventry City for young people up to the age of 18 (24 dependent upon needs). The service works in a holistic way with young people and works closely with local partners in ensuring a multi-agency approach to supporting young people and families with complex issues. Our service has an allotment which provides an opportunity for children, young people and families to have somewhere safe to enjoy the outdoors, improve their health and wellbeing and learn new skills. The allotment will also benefit our wider community with the produce grown being donated to those in need. We are currently looking for an Allotment Volunteer to support us in maintaining and developing the allotment alongside our young people and their families as well as those from the wider community. You will motivate and support those involved on a one to one basis with individual tasks and to act as a role model to inspire others into enjoying these therapeutic activities. You will also be required to liaise with partner organisations, members of the public, other allotment users and individuals involved in our projects as well as maintain a high level of health and safety on site.
