The Sales Advisor will be primarily responsible for supporting the development of New Business in accordance with sales plans. About the Role Your impact as a Sales Advisor: Key Accountabilities: * initiate and close new business opportunities from potential new clients at agreed targets; * preparation and issuance of new business reports; * managing the diary to ensure prospects are contacted in good time prior to renewal to offer terms; * management of client data to ensure records are up to date; * providing guidance and customer service to potential clients; * compliance with PSG Business reporting requirements and FSA regulations; * contacting clients from customer databases and working on campaigns to meet set Key Performance Indicators e.g. Number of calls made and lead to Proposal Form conversion rates; * dealing effectively with inbound telephone enquiries and following up on prospects from online; * working to meet the customers needs by providing suitable commercial insurance policies; * achieve agreed level of cross sales and up sales to maximise revenue and retention; * demonstrate flexibility in working patterns to meet the needs of the business; * responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company. Functional Responsibility: * PSG sales. About you Your knowledge and expertise: Qualifications: * ideally educated to degree standard. Experience: * Experience in the insurance industry, outbound b2b sales experience. Knowledge: * Insurance Technical knowledge: PI, Office, Motor, PL, EL; * proven sales ability - technical understanding of new business sales; * outbound sales techniques, systems and processes; * working in a regulated environment. Skills: * demonstrable skills in working to and achieving targets; * adept at identifying needs, overcoming objections and closing the sale; * client relationship management; * self disciplined and organised; * general business awareness; * literate and numerate with accurate data entry skills; * must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, both at one to one level, and in presentation form; verbally and in writing; * must be able to demonstrate active listening skills; * keeps up to date with developments and ensures that own skills and that of the team are updated; * good standard of literacy and numeracy; * is able to gather appropriate information by asking relevant questions in order to clearly identify the customer's needs; * is able to organise data and identify key facts and issues; * able to demonstrate good problem solving expertise; * asks open ended questions to explore problems and issues; * allows adequate preparation time and is well organised; * able to prioritise effectively and identify and resolve time conflicts; * actively works with peers to promote partnerships within and between teams to foster a positive synergistic approach.
