Its BoxSizer technology platform can right\-size multiple sizes of cartons on the same machine without stopping for changeovers\. APS has recently moved to Gorleston near Great Yarmouth so look out for more opportunities as they expand\. Currently we are looking for an experienced Operations Director, based in Gorleston CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Lead all operations\-production related functions for our APS UK based machinery team \(engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, quality, safety, costing and project management\)\. The core function of this role is to ensure all machines are delivered to our customers with impeccable quality, on\-time and within budget\. In addition, this role is responsible to ensuring alignment with WestRock APS commercial teams to meet their core responsibility\. HOW YOU IMPACT APS: Deliver machines to our customers with impeccable quality, on\-time and within budget Provide safety leadership; ensure the facility safety execution meets company requirements and ensure all machinery produced and shipped meet local safety regulations at the time of commercialization Lead productivity program for APS UK that provides year on year operational cost reduction and machinery platform functional evolution In coordination with APS Sales and VP, provide the capacity required to meet competitive lead\-times for the annual anticipated volume of machines Develop efficient functional processes achieve optimal cost structure of the operation WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Engineering/Manufacturing type degree preferred with machinery manufacturing or operations platform specific training Foundational financial business acumen Leadership skills required to drive the global machinery strategic agenda throughout the APS/WestRock organization \(change management\) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Advanced technical knowledge and layman translation skills 8\-10\+ years managerial and leadership experience in a manufacturing/machinery environment Travel up to 20% Operations/Manufacturing WestRock Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce: Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans\.
