We are recruiting for a MEP Team Leader to be based in our London Office as part of our Manufacturing and Technology Sector in Buildings. About the Team : Our Buildings business is a UK leader in commercial development, residential development and regeneration, and public sector buildings in the local and central government, education and health sectors. We have a fast-growing business in the automotive and manufacturing sectors, and we work with corporate occupiers in the retail and financial sectors to develop and change their built assets. The Buildings business has grown from a base of project and cost management and building surveying, has added a range of specialist consultancy skills and is now growing further by drawing on Arcadis design skills. About the Role: The MEP Team Leader role plays a vital key role in the team leadership and discipline integration of projects delivered by the team. Using technical experience and excellent people skills, the MEP Team Leader will manage projects whilst guiding and mentoring a team of engineers to deliver key project and client outcomes in an integrated and holistic manner. The role will provide a client facing lead for the team's projects and ensure that Arcadis maintains the highest technical standards, levels of service and quality. The MEP Team Leader will be responsible for: * Management of a team of engineers with a range of skills and experience; * The delivery of technical outputs within project teams and the seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams; * Ensuring technical quality through implementation of best practice and continuous improvement processes * Management and coordination of team, project resources and utilisation. * Representing Arcadis in liaising with clients, contractors and other project team members * Demonstrating effective communication ensuring all key business messages are communicated to team members and that all relevant information is available for the successful completion of projects * Develop and maintaining excellent client relationships through regular communication and successful project execution * Develop talent by coaching and mentoring engineers and supporting their technical development and preparation for chartership through CIBSE, IMechE, IET, ICE etc and in line with career development aspirations * Assisting Business Director in the preparation of technical and commercial bid proposals Qualifications: * Chartered Engineer and member of a relevant professional body, or equivalent level of experience Requirements: * Relevant experience in the design, specification and procurement of building MEP services; * Ability in the structural design and delivery of projects to a high quality, from concept to completion; * Ability to lead a team of engineers, liaising directly with clients, architects and other design team members; Experience in the successful management of projects; * Experience and understanding of multi-disciplinary project delivery processes; * Represent Arcadis at external meetings; * Sound knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services * Sound knowledge of engineering software; * Ability to lead project teams and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
