Manage the end-to-end formal infrastructure hosting architecture governance, engaging external resources where necessary. Assess new products and tools for appropriateness, consulting on the selection and implementation of these tools. Provide thought leadership in aspects of IT product selection relating to hosting; drive innovation and improvement across all aspects of the infrastructure. Engage with Vendors and external interest groups to determine future direction. Provide oversight for the technology estate and recommend appropriate standards and controls aligned to the company requirements and needs. Provide specialist domain advice on initiatives and solutions, assuring the very of cross-cutting concerns or shared capabilities. Who you'll be : You will need experience in the following: Wide range of knowledge across both on-premise and public cloud-based architectures and technologies. Good knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure. Solid understanding and virtualisation and software-defined networking. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, virtualisation, storage and infrastructure-security. Experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures. Demonstrable experience of architecting secure, web-scale, critical and highly available infrastructures. Experience of consulting across multiple teams and projects simultaneously. Have experience of introducing change in organisations. Specific knowledge of architecting solutions in both GCP and AWS an advantage.
