Would you like to be a SAP Architect for a world leading Pharmaceutical company which operates in over 100 countries and is head quartered in the United Kingdom? You will join a large functional Architecture team for a large SAP support and maintenance group, spanning several SAP landscapes across North America, South America, Asia and Europe. The functional team is based in the UK. The team is responsible for ensuring that all changes introduced into the applications it supports are: consistent with the target architecture; of high design quality; introduced in a timely, affordable and sustainable manner with the minimal acceptable risk to ongoing operations. You will possess in depth functional knowledge in PP & QM and good technical knowledge within SAP ECC and S/4 HANA. The candidate should have proven expertise in configuring and supporting SAP landscapes. Role and Responsibilities + Support the business in the provision of sufficiently detailed, clear and realistic business requirements + Work multi-functionally with other Architects, internal AZ IT delivery center or partner staff to ensure that system designs are truly end to end and that non-functional as well as functional requirements are considered in the design. + Work in close partnership with Business Release Management and with Project Management to ensure timely and on-budget execution & delivery of application changes. Where the change is entirely an application change restricted to the process areas of the Architect, then the Architect will be encouraged to manage the change through its lifecycle - i.e. not all changes will have specialist Project Managers assigned to them with Architects fulfilling this, limited project management role. + Take accountability for certain project work you're doing, & where meaningful assure the quality of relevant work you're doing as produced by partners/internal delivery teams either as part of a workflow or by spot checks as appropriate + Assure that requirements are realized by contribution to the test phase - the form of this contribution will vary according to the scale of project and change + Work actively in Sandbox environments so as to attain and maintain their proficiency of the application, to evaluate new functionality as provided in new releases of the application and to prototype and demonstrate new and existing functionalities of the application + Act as mentor to more junior Functional Application Engineers Required Skills and experience: + Good understanding of planning and quality assurance business processes in the life sciences/ pharmaceutical domain. + In-depth understanding of PP functionality in SAP covering, long term planning, short term planning, MRP, ATP Checking in production, master data (BOMs, Recipes, Routings, Production variant), batch determination in orders and Inventory, material staging and receipt. + Extensive understanding of QM functionality in SAP covering, QM master data, inspection lot creation (purchased, process, stock transfer, retest, EWM), physical sample management, retention sample management, results recording, usage decisions/product release, electronic signatures, quality notifications, inbound and outbound certificates, stock expiry. + In-depth understanding of key MM/WM functionality to support the PP and QM modules i.e. batch management, batch determination using batch search strategies (in production, warehouse and sales), batch derivation, flavor management, expiry control, inventory management, WM handling units, EWM handling units. + Ability to understand business requirements from business users, facilitate workshops, prepare functional specifications, identify configuration changes, assist technical teams (e.g. ABAP) in their work, perform system and integration testing + Exposure is meaningful to highly customized SAP environments and working on talks to Non-SAP systems e.g. PAS-X, LIMS & Track wise. + Very good understanding of integration of SAP modules in End to end business processes, specifically modules which closely integrate with PP/QM e.g. SAP APO (Advanced Planning Optimizer), SAP GBT (Global Batch Traceability) and SAP EWM/WM. + Experience working in a Globally distributed and diverse internal teams, together with offshore and onshore consulting and delivery partners. + Knowledge and experience of S/4 HANA, SAP GLM (Global Label Management) and SAP EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) would be advantageous. + Understanding of ITIL processes and Application life cycle management in validated GXP and SoX environments. + Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies. + Experience of various Estimation Techniques will be an added advantage + Superb communication and interpersonal skills with ability to run demos and workshops. + Proactive approach to problem solving, planning and co-ordination. + At least two End to End major project implementations in PP and QM. + ABAP and technical interface integration (Idoc & qRFC) experience
