Job Description
Markets Conduct Risk works with Markets and Securities Services (MSS) and functions including Compliance, Operational Risk and Internal Audit, to support identification, evaluation and management of conduct risks inherent in MSS Trading and Sales businesses. The Conduct Risk Framework team is part of Markets Conduct Risk and maintains the framework used for identifying and assessing conducts risks and evaluating related controls, as well as performing thematic risk assessments and executing conduct control testing across MSS. The primary mission of the Conduct Risk Framework team is to facilitate senior management in identifying and measuring conduct risks, and evaluating and remediating related controls, thereby supporting responsible provision of financial services to clients and effective risk management for the firm. As part of the Conduct Risk Framework Team, the Quality Control Team provides structured challenge and support to facilitate effective execution of risk and control assessment activities across MSS. **Key responsibilities:** This role is to lead the Risk Assessment Quality Control Team, including all aspects of planning and execution of the quality risk assessment quality control programme across MSS. Key responsibilities of the role are: + Managing development and maintenance of a large, complex risk assessment quality control plan + Supervising and overseeing highly effective execution of quality control activities + Presenting lessons learned from quality control activities to Senior Management + Providing subject matter expertise and delivering training on application of risk and control assessment standards and best practice + Providing conduct risk and control subject matter expertise to stakeholders across all three lines of defence + Providing effective leadership to the Quality Control team + Engaging, coaching, developing and managing the performance of Quality Control team members + Developing excellent stakeholder relationships across first line of defence, Independent Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk + Leading continuous improvement of conduct risk and control assessment quality control processes **Knowledge, Experience & Skills:** + Strong understanding of risk management practices, including inherent risk assessment, control evaluation and residual risk measurement + Strong understanding of conduct risks, and related controls, associated with trading and sales activities + Knowledge of industry wide regulatory actions and conduct risk remediation programmes preferred + Extensive experience of effectively managing teams to deliver complex work plans to agreed timelines and quality standards + Ability to deliver rigor and attention to detail in execution through coaching, supervision and oversight + Leadership experience and a track record of setting challenging standards, whilst engaging, supporting and developing team members + Proven ability to work collaboratively, develop relationships, and influence stakeholders to ensure standards are met + Assurance, internal audit, operational risk, and /or front office controls experience **Qualifications:** + College/university education preferred, but appropriate industry experience & exceptional delivery track record is as important. ----- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - GB ----- Time Type : ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
