The opportunity: Buck is looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Investment Analyst who is keen to develop their career in a client consulting and investment strategy capacity, and transition into a Consultant role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing multi-disciplined team of Analysts, Investment Consultants, and Actuaries, providing clients with leading investment strategy consulting. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, strong business acumen and a client focus, alongside the core technical skills. The Senior Investment Analyst will ideally be on track to become a qualified Investment Consultant within 12 to 18 months. Working on a variety of client service and manager research projects, under the supervision on a Senior Consultant and with direct client management responsibilities; you will be responsible for: + Supporting the Senior Investment Consultants in investment research and the preparation of performance monitoring reports, including receiving and reviewing data from investment managers to ensure quarterly deadlines are met; + Participating in the development of client deliverable's around investment strategies; + Lead and support junior members of the team including our gradates and junior Analysts; + Assisting in the preparation of Statement of Investment Principles and Asset Liability Reviews; + Assisting in reviews of investment strategy and investment managers, working alongside modelling and research teams; + Attending trustee meetings alongside regulated investment professionals and assisting in the delivery of advice to clients; + Liaising with clients and investment managers on data and administrative matters; + Ensuring internal compliance procedures are followed and evidenced through accurate records; + Maintaining accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable; + Liaise regularly with members of Bucks investment management team to develop a deep understanding of our investment solutions with the expectation to become a specialist our solutions; + Reporting any suspected breaches to management/compliance department upon discovery; + Leading or supporting consultants on new client take-on process working with and alongside client take-on specialists, business development, and operations. What you need to be successful in the Role: + Numerical degree, currently pursuing credentials through the Actuarial, CFA or other relevant qualification; + 4 to 5 years relevant DB and DC Investment consulting experience; + Knowledge & understanding of retirement plans, investment strategy and markets trends; investment/fund managers, and Pension Plan valuations; + Understanding of multiple investment asset classes; equities, fixed income, alternatives etc; + Understanding of LDI investment and/or ESG strategies; + Strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills, including a good understanding of macros and micro economics and investment strategies; + Excellent planning and organisational abilities, to prioritise and complete work; + Ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients; + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
