The technical trainer posiiton will play a critical role in delivering this on-going support. Reporting to the Head of Training you will support engineering teams and customer service teams as well as third party customer teams with ongoing technical knowledge, learning and support, identify and deliver technical specialist training requirements for Dematic Northern Europe and support the on-going requirement for EHS&S training and competency assessments. Key responsibilities: + Design and conduct training courses, programmes and learning events for Dematic Employees and Customers + Supporting the delivery of key programmes as required including but not limited to EHS&S Training, apprenticeships and NVQ assessment + Work alongside our customers to understand their needs and produce quotations for training and support as required + Coordinate the delivery of training for all NE projects ensuring the training is planned and delivered to meet the project plan and customer requirements + Support the development of new techniques, approaches and standards for project training delivery and support + Provide technical support as and when required for engineering teams and customers which may include weekend/shift working + Keep up to date with the latest technology, design, commissioning and maintenance methods to ensure technical knowledge is relevant + Working knowledge of industry standards to ensure compliance to and best practice are followed + Engage with key personnel to stay abreast of current strategic technical developments and changes + Contribute to the design and implementation of a training strategy for the Academy @Dematic and its customers + Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation + Development and delivery of new training courses to meet business requirements selecting the appropriate blended learning technique for the delivery + Support the development of different learning techniques to create a holistic and blended approach to Dematic learning needs, including smarter training, trainer lead and eLearning + Act as an ambassador of the Company + Identify continuous improvement and sales opportunities To be successful in this hugely important and business focused position, you will be an experienced trainer steeped in delivering successfully within a project/ engineering environment. You will be: + Minimum HNC in either Engineering or equivalent experience + Hands-on experience within an automated systems environment. + Working knowledge of regulations covering automation industry e.g. LOLER. PPE, PUWER, Machinery Directive + Full driving licence + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite The following are non-essential but would be desirable; + Recognised Health & Safety qualification + NVQ assessor + Recognised training qualification + Qualification in PFPE thorough examination.
