A market leading and well established manufacturer of special purpose machinery for the Food manufacturing industry are seeking a Technical Support and Applications Engineer to join their team due to continued growth. You will have experience in technical support or field service role within a production/manufacturing machinery environment. Commutable from: Southam, Daventry, Northampton, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Towcester, Brackley, Buckingham, Banbury, Leamington spa Salary £ 28,000p.a. - £ 33,000 p.a. Pension Free car parking Benefits The Role As a Technical Support and Applications Engineer you will; Be office based but regularly visit customers and provide technical support to the field sales team Use technical knowledge and experience to answer customer questions about the performance and specification of company products Provide assistance to the Technical and Production department based technical enquiries Provide technical specification/guidance for products previously supplied and installed Provide technical feedback and improvement ideas on both new and existing company products Act as company expert for product capabilities and associated standards Communicate and provide clear technical information by relevant methods both to external customers and work colleagues Provide application assistance to Production in order to meet customers requirements Project management of customer orders (non-standard / special) The Person A Technical Support and Applications Engineer with; Previous experience in Technical support on manufacturing and production equipment to end customers (this could be as Service Engineer or in Office Based Technical Support) An understanding of product handling (particularly within the food industry) advantageous An engineering qualification with a General mechanical and electrical controls understanding Valid UK driving Licence To apply for the role of Technical Support and Applications Engineer please send an up to date CV via email to Matthew Taylor Consilium Recruit and get in touch by phone on either 01789 201040 or 07823 401435 ASAP to discuss this and other relevant potential opportunities.
