SENIOR MATERIALS ENGINEER Leatherhead - Surrey (UK) ESSENTIAL SKILLS ECE5 software skills Communication skills Understands all phases of project: Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC with the associated documentation PREFERRED SKILLS Site / Fabrication Yard / Supplier experience BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION The minimum qualification requirements for this position are a degree in Materials Engineering or recognised equivalent and a full professional qualification as a Chartered Engineer preferably with full membership of the Institution of Materials, Minerals, and Mining or a recognised equivalent. Membership of TWI, ICorr and/or NACE would be an advantage. The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, equipment manufacturer, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied experience of process equipment applications in the onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment to include concept, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations. The person should have experience of working with relevant international standards that are applicable to corrosion and materials selection with an understanding of non-metallic material selection preferable. Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication and therefore be able to make effective presentations and prepare reports.
