High Level Function and Role Overview AstraZeneca has a significant SAP estate with multiple regional ERP systems and multiple global systems, such as APO and PI. The responsibility for running this estate lies with the AZ SAP Team who are part of the AZ IT Software Shared Service function. The AZ SAP Team is regionally based, in Europe, Asia and the Americas plus teams in the GTC in Chennai and Guadalajara. The AZ SAP Team is responsible for all AM and AD for the SAP ERP and applications that it supports. Changes to these SAP applications need to be: consistent with the target architecture; of high design and build quality; introduced in a timely, affordable and sustainable manner; complaint with all relevant regulations (e.g. GxP); and with the minimal acceptable risk to ongoing operations. The team works with other IT teams and external partners to deliver capabilities that cover both service and project/innovation activities relating to SAP applications. The AZ SAP Team members that are co-located regionally with other AZ IT and business teams have a particular responsibility to ensure that SAP in AZ is customer facing from a project and service perspective. In addition, the co-located team members also lead in ensuring that the knowledge relating to the particular, specific SAP based solutions for AZ is safeguarded and made available to the business. The AZ SAP Team located in Europe is the expertise centre for both the European ERP systems and the global SAP systems. It has a mix of staff comprising of functional and technical architects together with specialist SAP service and project expertise. The PSO/Junior PM role will operate in a regional and global capacity. The role holder will be a key member of the Release & Project Management team, supporting the full European team in the above accountabilities. The role holder will play hands on role on various tools including Solution Manager, TM1, Ariba and Field-glass. You will work with colleagues from within the AZ SAP Team in Software Shared Services, external partners and other AZ IT teams, in particular Finance and Operations IT who are the major customers of SAP. Key Accountabilities The accountabilities are structured to provide a varied role and support the development of the holder. While the items listed below are the ideal, some of the tools and criteria may be new so education and training will be provided as required. Project Support + Support Project Managers as required in designing and maintaining plans, financial trackers etc + Ensure project documentation is kept in the appropriate repository + Ensure project processes are being followed, status trackers are updated + Help with communications on Workplace + Ensure Project risks and issues are handled appropriate to their potential impact Release Management + Working with other SAP Release Managers, PMs and Architects, assist in maintaining Release plans for EU and Global systems + Help to ensure Solution Manager and TM1 data is kept up to date reflecting decisions made in Release Governance and other forums. Project / SAP Team Support + Ensure processes are followed and actively update tools such as Estimates and Plans in TM1 + Monitor SAP Team compliance with all IT process requirements such as Time Recording + Support the SAP team with meeting and event arrangements, purchasing and other processes as required. + Lead communications within the team and assist in external communications where required. + Maintain SAP Team distribution lists + Support new starters on the onboarding process Candidate Skills and Experience + Extensive experience in project management or project support, with evidence of meeting delivery, quality, and compliance standards + Experience of Microsoft Office tools in particular Excel + Good communication and relationship skills + Knowledge and experience of working with suppliers + Customer focussed + Knowledge or previous experience of tools, particularly Solution Manager, a plus + Must be able to perform as an effective member in a team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude, and achieve desired results while working with limited supervision. + Ability to manage time and priorities to lead multiple activities and partners simultaneously AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
