Job Description The Digital Technology team and Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems specialist to help drive the transformation of our factories to a fully automated and electronic system that drives shop floor efficiency and a better user experience. We have a tremendous opportunity to partner with the business and uplift our factory floor operations. Collins Aerospace is undergoing many major projects including the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Product Life Cycle Management Solutions, ERP, and middleware applications. The ideal candidate must have a passion for learning, willingness to lead and have the capacity to define and solve complex business problems using the latest Industry technology and applications. Principal Responsibilities: + Primary support lead for the UK and Europe including 6-10 plants across multiple countries. + Respond to day to day trouble tickets. + Maintain in country Solumina infrastructure (Poland, England, Italy, Germany, and France) + Work directly with various Digital Project team leaders to deploy Solumina to 10 sites per year across the world. + Gather technical and functional requirements through blueprinting workshops with our business customers. + Create system technical and functional documentation in support of Solumina GAP requirements. + Develop best business process documentation to define standard shop floor standard procedures. + Perform cross functional coordination with Manufacturing, Quality, and Business teams. + Lead and coordinate MES Training sessions with business unit customers + Ability to support multiple project managers on various MES and ERP implementations + Willingness to work off hours in support of planned outages for system maintenance + Create XML integration messages between MES and Middleware applications + Demonstrated ability to create and drive Project Planning documentation Requirements: Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations, Manufacturing, or Engineering Experience/Skills: Required Qualifications: + Must be a citizen of the UK + Willing to report directly to a manager in the US + Experience working in a segregated global team + Willingness and ability to learn on the job as required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and apply technical knowledge related to system infrastructure, ERP, and MES systems + Possess great communication skills + Experience with the Solumina MES system + Understanding of Team Center PLM system + Passion for learning cutting edge Digital Technology applications and processes + Exceptional communication skills with cultural awareness to work with International teams + Knowledge of integration middleware such as Thingworx and Kepware + Understanding of SAP Production Master Data (BOM/Routing/Work Center) Preferred Qualifications: + In Depth Knowledge of relation databases + Have a good understanding of basic functionality of the following: Server functionality and basic setup, network configurations, components and functionality, Enterprise application structure and configuration, Oracle and MSSQL structures and concepts. + Have some understanding and familiarity of: Linux command language for RHEL server, Server 2016 features and configuration, Oracle and MSSQL, T-SQL basic query creation, java script, batch, power shell, shell script, SharePoint configuration, Remote Desktop System + Experience in large scale Aerospace discrete manufacturing processes + 3 Years Manufacturing Engineering experience Qualification: Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations, Manufacturing, or Engineering Experience/Skills: Required Qualifications: + Must be a citizen of the UK + Willing to report directly to a manager in the US + Experience working in a segregated global team + Willingness and ability to learn on the job as required.
