Job Description
Your subject matter expertise will make you an influencer and thought leader to enable SWIFT customers to on-board on new API initiatives and achieve a deeper understanding of APIs and products associated to the platform. You will be involved in hands-on activities while coaching, mentoring and socialising SWIFT API products. Within the API Platform group, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate across a global multi-disciplined network of stakeholders (both internal and external) and organisations. Not only will you be working closely with developers, architects, product managers and CTOs. You will be also be collaborating with business and technical leads from global banks, corporates, fintechs and technology providers. Some of your typical responsibilities will also include: + Maintain strong relationship with the community, ensure continued alignment with external customers and internal team. + Contribute to the API strategy, development life cycle, governance and standards + Discover, develop, design and test customer use cases for SWIFT products and industry API standards. + Build empathy and be an advocate for our customers through participation and facilitation of design activities. + Communicate both low-level technical and high-level strategic issues to clients, management, internal teams and the wider API community via presentations, whitepapers, analyses and workshops. + Provide support and technical advisory to SWIFT customers through workshops, project assignments and design sessions. + Enable customers and colleagues understand new product initiatives. + Evangelise to prospects by helping them to understand the SWIFT API programme, its benefits and value proposition but also the technologies involved. + Participate to the architecture and design of new product to ensure feedback from customers and + standards are implemented We are looking for someone with following commitments and qualifications: + Skilled communicator who is just as comfortable having technical discussion as well as formulating and presenting business concepts with customers and internal teams. + Proven experience in formulating business and technical requirements. + Experience in contributions to different end-to-end API life cycles. + Demonstrate strong technical know-how and provide support to the design APIs contracts and testing of APIs and give input on based on industry best practices. + Can also demonstrate experience in software engineering background and design methods + 5 years in a similar job with similar projects and deliverables. + A strong working knowledge on APIs and industry best practices + Good knowledge of OAS 2.0/3.0 and RAML APIs definition standards + Knowledge of ISO20022 message standards is a big plus + Financial market knowledge is a big plus + Experience in designing customer focused APIs and products. + Proven experience in working with products that evolve based on customer input and data driven requirements. + Willing to travel at most 30% of your time At SWIFT, we are enhancing our API platform and partnering with the financial community to drive digital innovation and transformation.
