We're currently looking for an Accountant Public Sector region Antwerp/Limburg. The public sector lives through strong changes and professionalism around finance, operations, communications and strategy. The challenges are in the design and implementation of change processes built on innovation. The stakeholders ask for quick, efficient and qualitative services in a multidisciplinary approach. What you'll learn and do - As an A-Z Accountant at PwC Business Services, you will give accounting and financial advice to your clients in the public sector. - You work autonomously and you will be deployed within local public institutions on a project basis to offer our clients the best possible service as an all-round accountant within the following areas: * Operational accounting in public sector: BBC accounting, accounting of the local police or emergency services * Yearly closing, management reporting, financial analysis, preparation for financial audit * VAT declaration and corporate tax declaration * Control of A/P or A/R - You will give a flexible on-site support as operational expert within the finance department, will temporary help the accounting or project manager - You will give strategic advices in BBC architecture, risico management, consultancy assignments, analysis of the process optimization Who you are * You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy/Finance; * You have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting (Belgian GAAP) * You have a real interest in public sector and knowledge of the public sector accounting BBC is an added advantage * Your mother tongue is Dutch as we guide Flemish local governments and you express yourself fluently in English; * You are familiar with MS Office; any knowledge of other specialised programs is highly appreciated; * You are able to work on your own and you have a good sense of responsibility; * You are dynamic, flexible and professional.
