Senior Pension Investment Consultant (DC) We're hiring! * * Aon are currently recruiting a Senior Pension Investment Consultant (DC) to join our team in London, Epsom, Leeds or Edinburgh. The Senior Pension Investment Consultant (DC) will be primarily responsible for taking our suite of DC products to clients, including Big Blue Touch (Aon's GPP), the Aon MasterTrust and Aon delegated DC services for trust based schemes. The FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) applies to Aon from December 2019 and this role is subject to the relevant requirements of the Regime. The primary aim of SM&CR is to drive individual accountability for all roles within the Financial Services Sector. Aon must ensure those in senior roles, with the potential to cause significant harm to customers and the business of the firm, are deemed to be fit and proper at all times and also to ensure everyone working in the sector adheres to a set of Conduct Rules and are held to account where they do not meet the right standards of behaviour. About the Role Your impact as a Senior Pension Investment Consultant (DC): * understanding and focus on good member outcomes and working with clients to achieve this goal, * leading relationships with clients with over 1bn DC assets, with accountability for developing those relationships, for example through introducing additional service, * directing large projects, e.g. provider review exercises and asset transitions, * taking overall responsibility for quality of technical work delivered to clients, * helping to further build the investment expertise within the wider DC team, through training and mentoring of more junior colleagues as necessary, * this is a senior position within the DC Team and you will be expected to contribute to the thought leadership and future strategy of the team, * the role would be based in your preference of Edinburgh, Epsom, Leeds or London; however, the DC team is represented in a number of our offices around the UK, and it is expected that your role would involve working with teams and advising clients across these locations, * responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company. About you Your knowledge and expertise: * track record in leading client relationships, * strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable advising Trustee Boards and those in senior company roles at a strategic level, * self-motivating and ambitious, * able to encourage and develop other colleagues, and work well within diverse teams, * FCA approved status, * experience advising clients on some or all of: * DC investment strategy, * DC products and investment platforms, * asset transitions, * fund manager recommendations, * ongoing monitoring, * DC scheme governance, * compliance with regulatory requirements and changes in legislation. * the range of skills required are quite diverse and we will consider candidates that are stronger in specific areas although the individual needs a sound understanding of investment issues.
