Job Description
: VBA & SQL Developer / Business Analyst Fixed Term position (9-12 months) To support our Global Business Performance team within the Advanced Materials division, we are looking for a VBA & SQL Developer / Business Analyst (Access/Excel). The position is a full time and fixed term employment contract (9-12 months), based in our Advanced Materials Regional Headquarter in Basel or in our locations in Everberg or the UK (Wynyard / Duxford). As VBA & SQL Developer / Business Analyst (Access/Excel), you will support the running of key business critical reports in our legacy environment (Access / Excel / SQL) and lead the transition effort to our target environment (IBM Planning Analytics / SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence). Your main tasks and responsibilities are: * Manage the business logic and maintain the running of key business reports (including trouble shooting) in Access/ Excel/ SQL for our manufacturing, supply chain, finance, purchasing, sales, and executive teams. * Identify areas for improvements in collaboration with key business stakeholders to drive business insight and report/tool standardization across all regions. * Lead the effort of migration and build out of key business reports in IBM Planning Analytics or SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence (Webi). Requirements: * Degree in Data Science (Information System, Computer Science) is required. Experience and sound knowledge in Business, Finance, Accounting or other technical discipline is a plus * Very strong command of Access, Excel, MS Excel VBA and SQL is a must * Knowledge of Webi or IBM Planning Analytics or TM1 is a strong asset * Knowledge of data maintenance and data extraction * 2-5 years of experience in a similar position * Fast comprehension of business activities is needed along with a problem-solving approach * Very good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills * Innovative team player, detailed oriented and working with high level of accuracy * Fluent in English, any other language is an asset If you are interested in this career opportunity and would like to shape our and your future, we are looking forward to receiving your application.
