The Regional Delivery Partnership is a framework contract with Highways England for the development, design and construction of capital road projects that form part of the Regional Investment Programme during Road Period 1 (2015 to 2020) and Road Period 2 (2020 to 2025). The Costain Jacobs Partnership were awarded two lots; Lot 7 (East Region) & Lot 8 (North Region). This vacancy relates to Lot 8 for the delivery of 3 schemes along the A1 corridor in Newcastle and Northumberland, with combined scheme budgets in excess of 550M. A1Scotswood to North Brunton - Construction March 2020 - late 2022 A1 Birtley to Coal House - Construction March 2021 - late 2023 A1 in Northumberland - Construction March 2021 - late 2024 The current early works are being undertaken in Stockton and Leeds (with our designers Jacobs) but will move to the north east prior to construction. It is essential that applicants are willing to travel to and work in the north east. This particular role for A1 Scotswood to North Brunton will be based from the Jacobs office in Stockton (nr Middlesbrough) before moving to Newcastle early 2020 as advance works for the construction commence. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to support the Regional Delivery Partnership (RDP) in North East England. The candidate will play a proactive and dynamic role in support of the Health and Wellbeing programme. We aim to deliver excellence in all matters relating to health and wellbeing and will provide a framework which enables the workforce to work safely and without harm to their health whilst improving their personal wellbeing. We will manage a diverse group of stakeholders including, Costain and our Delivery Partners employees, client, supply chain, contractors, subcontractors and agency personnel. Reporting to the Framework SHE Manager and Group Senior OH Nurse the Occupational Health Nurse will have a high level of autonomy. They will work within a multidisciplinary team consisting initially of Framework SHE Manager, Environmental manager, SHE Advisor, Document Controller and the Operations team. Part of the role and responsibility of the post holder will require them to assist the Senior Occupational Health Nurse in the development of a Nurse led Occupational Health Service in accordance with Costain's Wellbeing Strategy and Sector Targets. The Occupational Health Nurse may also be asked to advise and provide support to other projects in addition to the assigned role at RDP.
