The opportunity Our Corporate Transformation practice is built on deep functional expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and deliver dramatic and sustainable business performance improvements.We operate in four pillars: CFO Services, Growth & Commercial Operations, Supply Chain & Operations and, Transformation. In each pillar we identify and focus on a clear set of value propositions and a target client portfolio where we develop long-term, global, sustainable relationships. Our pillar leads are supported by sector leads in Industrials, Consumer, Retail, Media and Pharmaceuticals. Working directly with company management, A&M helps stabilise financial and operational performance by developing and implementing comprehensive profitability and working capital improvements. Our pan-European Corporate Transformation practice is expanding and therefore an opportunity exists for us to strengthen the team at the Senior Director level in London (similar opportunities exist in other European offices). Reporting to the European Head of CFO Services, the successful appointee will have responsibility for continuing to build the profile and reputation of A&M as a leading global professional services firm that delivers critical assistance to companies that are underperforming or experiencing a full-blown liquidity crisis. The Candidate Our Senior Director will be a high-energy and successful leader with extensive knowledge and experience across Working Capital, Cash Optimisation, Liquidity and Turnaround Planning gained at a major advisory firm. They may have held a CFO / CRO or similar senior line management role within a business of significant size, scale and complexity in addition to Advisory. A breadth of sector experience is helpful. Specifically, the Senior Director will be responsible for: * Executing the vision and direction for the continuing build out of CFO Services including building a robust yet flexible plan to generate deal flow and develop a sustainable business. * Attracting and developing a group of experienced professionals to drive growth, in addition to quickly assimilating and leveraging existing capability at A&M. * Coordinating across the broader A&M in Europe and globally in areas such as portfolio development and key account management, drawing together the industry and functional expertise needed to serve our clients. You should demonstrate the following capabilities: * A successful track record as an experienced Director, Junior Partner or similar within a Working Capital, Cash Optimisation, Liquidity and Turnaround practice at a leading Advisory firm * Ability to conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, financial framework and controls and turnaround strategy * Experience in Working Capital including liquidity frameworks and controls, development of implementation plans, designing and implementing cash conservation guidelines and controls * Reviewing performance figures and analysing transactional data to develop fact-based analysis of cash performance * Robust understanding of accounting and business plan modelling * Connections with, and exposure to, Corporates and private equity (large and mid-cap), associated with restructuring and turnaround * A highly developed network across corporate companies and business leaders * A trusted advisor on how businesses can most effectively improve the returns on their investments * A track record selling and delivering assignments to their established network.
