### Description The Mergermarket product specialises in real-time intelligence, data and analysis on global M&A deals. Mergermarket gives M&A professionals a competitive advantage, delivering insights on deals 6 to 24 months before they become public knowledge. The worlds leading advisory firms, investment banks and corporates reply on Mergermarket to drive their M&A origination and valuation processes and capture lucrative new business opportunities. Job description: As a Business Development professional based in the London office, you will be responsible for generating new business for Mergermarket within a defined territory in the EMEA region. This includes sourcing leads, prospecting, cold outreach, managing trials, negotiations and closing new business (full sales cycle). You will also be responsible for managing and ensuring the successful renewal and growth of all accounts signed for the first year of their subscription. This role provides an ideal opportunity for individuals wishing to gain an insight into the world of M&A. Responsibilities: * Selling the Mergermarket and ECM subscription products * Develop and maintain a continuous pipeline of new business sales leads from prospective subscribers * Identify target customers, make initial contact, establish relationships and develop the business - managing the full sales cycle from start to finish * Present live or remote product demonstrations for prospects * Develop and cultivate relationships at the highest levels within existing subscribers and prospects * Ensure all existing and potential prospect/client activity is logged in the required CRM tool in the form of calls/tasks or meetings * Hit a monthly KPI's in accordance with set objectives * Plan regular business trips to a defined territory * Represent Acuris at required industry events * Liaise with the Sales and RM teams in London and globally * Work collaboratively with other products within Acuris to optimize revenues for the overall business **Skills & Requirements: * An interest in the financial markets, and a solid understanding of M&A * Previous Business Development, Sales or Account Management experience * Experience in an outside and/or inside sales role * Experience working with and presenting to senior level executives * Ability to report and forecast in a timely and accurate manner Nice to have: * Additional language skills What's in it for you: * 25 days paid leave + local Bank Holidays * London office with stunning roof terrace, great communal areas and a very modern space * Private Healthcare * Company Pension Scheme * Employee Assistance Program/ Save as you Learn Scheme * Employee Social club * Pool Table/Subsidised Gym/Other Staff Discounts and more Acuris powers business growth for financial and professional services firms worldwide.
