Electrical Fitter

Our client is an established manufacturer of heavy mobile plant and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Fitter. The successful candidate will be based at our client's production facility near Swadlincote. The Role: Reporting to the production manager you will work alongside a team of experience multi-skilled fitters in order to assemble, test and install electrical control panels as required. Duties will include but is not limited to the following; * Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams * Assemble electrical control panels * Construct looms and install panels to plant * Electrical test, fault find and repair * Use of relevant hand tools * Assist with mechanical installs and fixing as required * Assist with some field / site work as and when required Candidate: The successful applicant will be apprentice trained electrical fitter / electrician ideally with 10 years panel wiring / test / installation. You will have good 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills and ideally you will have NVQ 3 or 18th edition wiring regs certification. Applicants with heavy mobile plant, rail or automotive wiring skills will have advantage but all candidates will be considered.
