In this operational role undertaking the day to day mechanical and electrical engineering activities within the plant. You will provide knowledge and technical support in the event of equipment and plant failure, ensuring plant equipment breakdowns are repaired in an efficient, and effective way and take a lead on planned maintenance. • Reactive Maintenance – Respond to all reactive situations within the plant, both electrical and mechanical and diagnose to root cause utilising known fault finding procedures. Ensuring that all tasks and breakdowns are recorded for shift handover. Provide a detailed Machinery Breakdown Report (MBR) of all downtime exceeding a specific time. Assess whether the reactive jobs can be mitigated until plant planned downtime starts to provide a repair. • Planned Maintenance – Manage your time to carry out PPMs on a scheduled shutdown of the plant as directed by the Maintenance supervisors. Own Engineering shutdown periods to achieve an overall minimum of 85% compliance to ensure site reliability. • Small Projects – Own small projects to completion as directed from the Engineering Manager/Supervisor in line with the maintenance strategy to contribute to the future success of the department • Training and Development – Identify key areas to progress knowledge in both mechanical and electrical areas with the Engineering Manager to ensure compliance metrics are met. What we need from you? Engineering Apprenticeship ONC/HNC/HND/Degree in appropriate engineering subject 17th/18th Edition IEEE Regulations 2391/2395 Electrical Inspection and Testing (preferred) Experience with Siemens PLCs Motor control – Inverters, DOL, Star Delta SCADA – Win CC Fanuc - Robot control Capable of testing and fault finding on motors AC/DC Fork Lift Truck – Min 2 tonne Counter Balance (preferred) Full Driving License IT Skills – Microsoft office The company itself is big on culture and it’s likely you’ve heard of them.
