Incisive Media is seeking a Business Development Manager for developing Investment Week's relationships, the UK's leading brand for the asset management community since 1995, to sell sponsorships across our events and awards portfolio. The job will suit an ambitious, creative and hard-working individuall keen to accelerate their career in sales. The Business Development Manager role will focus on developing Investment Week's relationships to sell sponsorship across our events and awards portfolio. With over 40 Investment Week events and two major awards you will be an integral part of the team, contributing equally to the target. You will need to be proactive, efficient, organised and interested in people. There is key emphasis on consultative selling, relationship management and negotiation. + Maximising your own sales results in conjunction with your managers and brand strategy through calls, meetings & emails to comprehensively cover your client base + Establishing multi-level contacts within your client base, who will vary in size + Using your own sales skills to sell and increase revenue and market share. + Competent in applying tailored marketing solutions to clients through Incisive Media's range of products and services The Asset Management Industry is an evolving landscape, as such, you will need to have a good understanding of the market and be able to keep well informed with industry changes, competitors and have a strong awareness of your own brand's performance within the market space. + Previous experience in event's sponsorship sales + Having a background in finance/capital markets is not essential but would be highly regarded. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; + effective time management; + strong commercial acumen; + and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. + Good knowledge and understanding of the following media platforms - Events, Content Marketing and Performance, and Digital and Print Advertising + Experience of presenting and good presentation skills are essential + A positive and enthusiastic approach to your work + A willingness to learn and take on new ideas + A good work ethic As well as working with the most interesting, talented and fun people in Media, we operate a culture where success is recognised.
