Job Description
Part-time senior news reporter, London The senior news reporter will assist in setting the editorial direction for Trading Risk in order to provide engaging content for our subscribers. Job ad: We are looking for a part-time senior news reporter to join our team, reporting to the managing editor of Trading Risk. Our title covers the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and reinsurance industry, at the intersection of the hedge fund and specialist insurance markets. Over the past year, we have reported on everything from insurance losses due to US hurricanes and Californian wildfires, as well as industry M&A and hedge fund redemptions. The part-time senior role would focus on helping to cover breaking news and delivering intelligent analysis and features on a flexible schedule. Experience in pensions media would be an advantage to help us build out our relationships with the investor base supporting the ILS market. Our collaborative reporting team operates closely alongside the industry we report on, digging up news tips from our contacts and analysing industry data to produce added value news for our subscribers. As we attend and host industry events in Europe and the US, the role offers the chance for some travel. Trading Risk is part of B2B publishing firm Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC. Key responsibilities: -Contribute to the direction of our editorial coverage by coming up with ideas for and producing timely and relevant news analysis and feature topics -Develop a strong understanding of industry issues in order to engage with readers and write intelligent analysis -Produce and edit clearly-written breaking news articles in a timely manner Key skills/requirements: -Strong level of experience in financial market or B2B reporting -Excellent comprehension skills with the ability to get to grips with technical information in order to engage with our readers on their level -Must have good time management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines ID: Dec 2019-9698 Address Line 1: 3rd Floor
