Job Description
What are we looking for? Due to a crucial new project within our organisation, we have a fantastic opportunity for a strong and motivated Group Leader to join our manufacturing team in Motherwell immediately on an 18-month fixed term contract. As a Group Leader , you will be responsible for supervising a production team on the manufacturing floor, and driving all factors of production. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure production operators adhere to HSE rules and policies * Conduct and maintaining HSE audits * Maintain HSE metrics * With Supervisor ensure LSW is comprehensive * Complete daily LSW activities on time to standard * Ensure Standard Operating Sheets are accurate * Ensure all operators are trained to work to standard * Audit all operators and operations to confirm they are working to standard * Consistently exceeding 98% with stretch goal of 100% OTTR * Ensure production schedules are met * Work with Production planning to meet customer expectations and requests. * Ensure rules and procedures are adhered to * Monitor timekeeping and absence to ensure compliance to company policy * Manage staff performance and address performance issues * Lead continuous improvement activities on the cell * Encourage the use of six sigma tools and HOS to create a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing * Plan and allocate work tasks to meet output and delivery performance * Maintain cell metrics, transactions * Lead Tier 1 meetings and report effectively to Tier 2. * Cover supervisor tasks as required.
