BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION Working as a Functional Safety/Process Control engineer on multi discipline projects both on Onshore and Offshore environments, you will work within a team of Instrument Engineers, Control Systems Engineers and Process Engineers working on International projects for major clients.. You will work closely with the Lead Control Systems engineer and Process team as well as client teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the Functional Safety deliverables within project timescales and budgets whilst maintaining quality and accuracy of the design and documentation. Where necessary you will interface with third-party bodies for independent verifications. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Works comfortably with Discipline and Engineering management teams as well as with Clients engineering teams. Familiar with IEC61508/61511 Safety Lifecycle up to FSA3 Experienced in definition of safety management requirements and preparation of Lifecycle Management Plan. Experienced in definition of requirements and preparation of Safety Requirements Specification. Development of SIF definitions and functional logic requirements for Process systems. Will have participated extensively in HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments. Ability to use exSILentia (KBR standard) or similar tool to carry out verification of achieved integrity of SIFs Works well with the other engineering disciplines on the projects and with other areas requiring interfaces to support project delivery. PREFERRED SKILLS Will be familiar with Functional safety requirements and will have certification-TUVFSEng/CFSP minimum. Ability to clearly explain Functional Safety concepts and requirements to non-specialist audiences. Is a chartered engineer or is working towards becoming chartered. Has worked on Concept, FEED and Detailed design phases of projects.
