You will join a project team working on a critical component of our widely used financial compliance products. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in shaping product delivery, gathering requirements from stakeholders in a dynamic agile environment, show a high level of organisation and clarity of communication to ensure that requirements are fully understood by the delivery team. Job Purpose: You will be working with a highly capable team of developers to build a new platform using latest technologies. Your role will be to provide product clarity/roadmap, stakeholder management, analysis, requirements and documentation on data flows Experience and Education + Proven experience of IT business analyst experience + ISEB/BCS-qualified Business Analyst preferred if in the UK, IIBA CBAP if in the US + Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology; e.g., Agile, Scrum and Kanban. Certified Scrum Product Owner(CSPO)would be beneficial. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: + Build and manage relationships with stakeholders such as the Product Owners/Managers, Enterprise Architects, Developers, Client Services, User Experience Leads (UX), Sales and other stakeholders. + Identify & prioritise product roadmap activities with distributed stakeholders. + Manage stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to project leaders as necessary. + Lead scope definition workshops. + Facilitate story mapping, release planning, and user persona workshops with the Scrum teams + Write user stories, scenarios, acceptance criteria and processes using JIRA in a Behaviour Driven and Test-Driven Development and ensuring that the stories are written using INVEST principles. + Manage and Prioritise product backlog for the development teams. + Conduct backlog refinement and story point estimation sessions. + Plan and schedule development backlog into sprints. + Understand organizational motivations including problems, goals, and objectives. Assess and document the benefits, risks, and critical success factors of the project. Demonstrate that business needs are satisfied within a given technical solution. + Contribute to project / milestones / sprint metrics. + Facilitate user acceptance and integration testing of features before promotion to various environments. + Provide training and demo to internal and external stakeholders on new feature functionality + Drive continuous improvements in sessions such as BA communities of practice and Enterprise Transformation. + Mentor junior team members. Essential Skills Required: + A strong knowledge of Agile (SCRUM) methodology. + Strong communication skills that allow for effective communication across all levels of the organization. + Moderate facilitation skills; ability to facilitate workshops with all staff levels. + Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications, gained on projects of considerable scale and/or complexity. + Strong knowledge of JIRA or similar issue management systems. + Broad understanding of software development methodologies. Desired Skills: + IT research, software analysis, and design skills. + Broad technical understanding across various methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages. + Excellent organisation/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and excellent delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity. + Advanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. + Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc., including diction/terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediums.
