Sustainability Reporting and Environment Manager London, England Job Reference:LEX-COM-06226 Location:London, England Closing Date:16/06/2019 Department:Communications Division:Global Support The Sustainability Team is responsible for ensuring that sustainability and responsible business practice is a competitive differentiator for Informa. Our activities break down into three areas: + Meeting stakeholder expectations around reporting and compliance + Enhancing our colleague value proposition for our people and making life at Informa more engaging + Working with product teams to develop our business, grow and improve our positive impacts on our customers and markets Each of these activities involves effective collaboration and partnership with teams from across the business backed up by strong evidence. We work with hard data but also rely on more nuanced communication that's tailored to our audiences. Beyond delivering what's needed for today, the team works to understand future opportunities and risks. We support the business in becoming a forward-looking enterprise and this always means choosing the most important priorities. We work across the breadth of the business and consider how we invest and engage in terms of our colleagues, customers, communities and the environment. The Group Sustainability Team sits within the Corporate Communications Team which includes external and internal communications, brand and digital communications. This group reports directly into the Director of Investor Relations, Communications and Brand who is a member of the Executive Management Team. We also have dotted lines connecting us with the CEOs of the divisions. The Group Sustainability and Reporting manager will report into the Global Head of Sustainability. Our expectation is that the role would be based in London but other locations, with some trips to London, may be considered. The Group Sustainability and Reporting Manager is primarily responsible for: + Working with the Head of Sustainability and Regional Sustainability Managers to develop groupwide approaches to sustainability reporting + Ensuring Informa meets all required and chosen sustainabilityrelated reporting obligations including, but not limited to ESOS, MCR, SECR, DJSI, CDP + Working with our property and other teams on energy efficiency, carbon reporting, compliance with reporting requirements etc + Collaborating on and contributing to the collation of groupwide nonfinancial KPIs + Collaborating with teams across the business in improving our position in DJSI and other ratings as appropriate + Managing environmental projects and compliance across our 150 offices Key responsibilities The individual is expected to assume the following key responsibilities across two key areas plus any other reasonable duties as required. The role will roughly be split equally between these two areas although the balance may vary throughout the year. Each of these will be delivered in partnership with other sustainability team members. The role is working in partnership with the head of sustainability: Reporting and Environmental Compliance + The Manager will be responsible for managing Informa's reporting and compliance obligations such as the Sustainability Report, DJSI, CDP, FTSE4Good, ESOS, SECR, MCR, Ethibel and other programmes + In particular, this will involve improving and operating several of our reporting processes for non-financial KPIs including energy, waste etc. It will also involve collaborating with a dozen other teams across the business on topics such as energy management, IT security, modern slavery, HR etc + Using this data, the Manager will also be accountable for identifying the most important initiatives we can take to reduce cost and impact at our offices, then working to develop investment cases for property or projects to address those + The Manager will also be accountable for groupwide energy usage and work with others, such as estates and facilities, to buy better, use less and switch to more responsible sources + The Manager will work with the other sustainability team members to ensure good data flow and reporting as required Development of Approach and Projects + Working closely with the Head of Sustainability, this Manager role will identify and develop specific projects that improve the sustainability of Informa's 5 divisions. This may include projects such as local economic impact assessment, purpose driven business or operational protocols within part of the business + It will include developing persuasive business cases such as those designed to encourage investment in responsible supply chain, energy efficiency and community/colleague engagement programmes + The Manager will have day to day responsibility for working with other team members in implementing these projects as well as a role of ambassador for sustainability into the Group Skills & Abilities + Reliability and the ability to cope with many simulataneous activities is abs
