Principal, Health Economics Department: Real World Evidence Location: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Copenhagen The team IQVIA's Real-World Evidence (RWE) department is fast-growing and highly successful, focusing upon delivering tangible business results to clients in the international pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The team includes approximately 400 professionals working in based in 18 countries world-wide and includes real-world evidence, epidemiology, outcomes research and biostatistics as well as health economics. This team is the largest group of health economists in IQVIA, best known for cost-effectiveness modelling, network meta-analysis and HTA submissions in the UK and globally. Around three quarters of our work has an international component and we collaborate frequently with colleagues in pricing and market access, real world evidence, data science, consulting services and enterprise solutions locally and overseas. We are one of few organizations that are able to integrate real-world evidence solutions, health economics, outcomes research and market access and to provide global reach and commercially relevant delivery to our clients. The team comprises approximately 45 individuals, led by two Senior Principals. The diverse team are highly qualified, enthusiastic and always keen to learn. The role We seek a Principal to join the two established senior staff in a high profile leadership role in the NEMEA Health Economics team. The primary function of the role is to secure projects from clients and to lead a delivery team ensuring projects are completed on time and to the appropriate quality. A Principal is expected to take ownership of high level client relationships and has financial responsibility for a significant part of the health economics team. The individual will report to the Senior Principal, Health Economics. The main responsibilities of the role are: * Secure projects from UK and International clients * Lead the team delivering these projects to ensure that they are completed on time and to the appropriate quality * Line manage a team of 8-15 Health Economists * Lead a small number of high-profile RWE & HE business initiatives * Contribute to team building including interviewing, mentoring and training juniors and activities to motivate and retain staff * Represent IQVIA in public through participation in conferences and symposiums Qualifications skills and experience required * Previous experience of having led a team of Health Economic technical experts applying complex analytical skills to business issues * Experience working at management level with responsibility for leading business initiatives and teams * A proven track record in health economics or a related area such as economics, market access, healthcare management, or data science * Demonstrable commercial awareness and thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. * Previous experience and exposure of coaching and mentoring more junior team members * Enthusiasm for maintaining and driving a culture of learning in the group * Preferably, an expert understanding of the use of health economics and modelling * In depth understanding of medical research processes * Ideally already have an established network of contacts in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and HTA bodies such as NICE or SMC Next Steps You will be contacted by one of our recruiters to arrange a prescreen call should your background be relevant for this opportunity who will be able to give you more information on this team and the opportunity and also explain the assessment process to you for this role.
