The reinsurance services include property, professional lines, credit and bond, and others. ----- SENIOR APPLICATION DELIVERY LEAD, DIGITAL WORKPLACE CoE The Senior Application Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery of business capabilities from the beginning to the end of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in the specified domain across both small and large scale initiatives. This role is specialized for the business functions it supports and the technology it employs. It will be the subject matter expert across all elements of the domain, business and technology. This role will lead teams of AXIS resources and vendor resources with accountability for: the interface with the business to understand requirements and process, the translation of those requirements into a solution, the development and testing of that solution, and the transition of that solution into production. They will optimize delivery processes, lead teams of resources through the SDLC, and help establish functional and technical direction for the application assets in the domain - all to deliver high quality capabilities for AXIS. A successful candidate will combine hands on functional/technical skills with the ability to design solutions, lead, coach, and mentor team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as the delivery lead for key project/initiatives within the application domain, or act as the lead over a work stream in a multifaceted program. * Plan overall capacity for the team supporting this domain space and partner with their Head of Application Delivery and Business Engagement Leads to optimize capacity against forecasted demand * Lead a team of BA's in partnering with the business to elicit business requirement needs, and then represent and document these requirements into requirement specifications for implementation * Lead the capture, review and update business requirements and communicate to team members. Produce and certify deliverables including but not exclusive to: * Business Capability Matrix and other detailed requirements documentation as required * Business rules to be captured in metadata layer * Communication and training materials (as needed) * Solution Architecture * Test Plan and Strategy * Serve as the solution architect for their application domain, working with the Lead Architect and Technical Architect as well as other Domain Leads, CoEs and AXIS Enterprise Architecture groups. Establish high level design and provide guidance to the delivery teams to follow for the project/initiative/application. Assess and lead the review of the technical deliverables during the design phase of a project. * Leverage and lead sourcing vendor(s) for delivery (build/test/deploy). Ensure sourcing vendors provide services in accordance with the agreed scope & service level agreement (SLA) for the given project/initiative, meeting design standards, meeting performance metrics, including key performance indicators, user satisfaction targets, operating level agreements. * Help manage technical dependencies across delivery streams throughout projects/initiatives. Coordinate and manage the integration of capabilities into existing production environments - as well as technical dependencies with other development teams, infrastructure, security, etc. * Participate in the introduction and change control process (e.g., transition from project development team to the application maintenance team) of a new application or capability. * Optimize artefacts, processes, and tools used by the team through the software development lifecycle for delivery of work within the domain. This includes but is not limited to requirement/design standards, use of TFS, frameworks, and various accelerators. * Support the delivery of the Business Architectureby partnering with stakeholders and functional lead(s) to identify business process issues and capability needs.
