Line of Service Assurance Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Conduct and Compliance Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary A career within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we're able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted. We are currently seeking individuals with strong risk management or risk audit experience in the Financial Services industry. This can include experience of some, but not necessarily all of the following: Basel management or basel audit, risk governance and analytics, credit risk management or audit, or liquidity risk management or audit, market risk management or audit, operational risk management or audit. A genuine interest in the financial services sector and good understanding of one or more of the industry sub-sectors is expected (i.e.banking, financial leasing, investment banking, asset/wealth management, internet finance, 3rd party payment, P2P). Key responsibilities will include some of the following: * Assessing the risk strategy and management processes established by financial institutions over their operational and regulatory processes, including entity level; * Designing and executing advanced risk data analytical methods or analytical model over the risk management; * Assessing financial institutions response to regulatory requirements, including relevant regulatory risk management requirements; * Developing an understanding of key end-to-end risk management flows associated with various financial products and any associated operational and financial reporting risks; and * Working within a large team of consultants to deliver a detailed program of work, meeting exacting quality standards, within tight timeframes. You will be expected to convey pragmatic solutions to our client's complex business problems through the use of written reports and presentations. The opportunity will be available for you to develop your responsibility in supervising, coaching and developing individual team members. Requirements: * University degree majoring in accounting, finance, financial engineering, Economics, Actuarialscience, business administration, statistics; * Minimum of3 years internal audit/external audit and/or risk management experience with a reputable international professional firm or financial institution; Less experience would be consider Senior Associate or Associate positions; * Good practical experience of working with clients in one or more particular areas of financial services. Experience of performing external audit for major financial services organisations would be beneficial; * Practical experience and working knowledge in two or more of the following: risk governance and analytics, credit risk management or audit, or liquidity risk management or audit, market risk management or audit, operational risk management or audit; * Working understanding of risk management and analysis methodologies, approaches and techniques; * Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English - and ideally in Chinese; * Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity; * Effective project management, multi-tasking, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential; and * Flexibility to travel to out-of-town.
