Job Description

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION Working as a Process Control engineer on multi discipline projects both on Onshore and Offshore environments, you will work within a team of Instrument Engineers, Control Systems Engineers and Process Engineers working on International projects for major clients. You will work closely with the Lead Control Systems engineer and Process team as well as client teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the process control strategies and deliverables including Control Narratives and shutdown logic within project timescales and budgets whilst maintaining quality and accuracy of the design and documentation deliverables. Where necessary, you will interface with packaged equipment suppliers and process licensors. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Works comfortably with Discipline and Engineering management teams as well as with Clients engineering teams. Experienced in carrying out review of P&IDs and development of the required Process control schemes and functional logic requirements for Process systems both On- & Offshore including Separations and stabilization, Gas treatment, Fractionations, Gas Liquefaction, Utilities including waste heat recovery & steam generation systems. . There is a particular requirement to consider integration of packages, units and installations to provide coherent overall strategies. Will have participated in HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments. Works well with the other engineering disciplines on the projects and with other areas requiring interfaces to support project delivery. PREFERRED SKILLS Familiar with control requirements for rotating equipment, particularly centrifugal compressors & gas turbines. Familiar with control requirements for large-scale fired equipment. Ability to clearly explain Process Control concepts and strategies to non-specialist audiences. Will be familiar with both static and dynamic process system modelling principles. Is a chartered engineer or is working towards becoming chartered. Has worked on Concept, FEED and Detailed design phases of projects
