Position Working as part of the Paper & Packaging (P&P) equity research team, covering European paper, pulp & packaging companies and ability to be involved in ESG research. Your role is to help maintain and develop the coverage of the paper & packaging sector, producing in depth research notes and various project-based work. Primary Responsibilities: * To support the P&P team with fundamental analysis and the writing of equity research. * Providing sector and stock coverage, maintaining up to date models and updating forecasts. * Contributing to written European or Global thematic research. * Project based work on sector topics involving ESG and client requests. * Assisting the broader team in meeting client marketing and corporate access requirements. * Communicating with covered companies to ensure the team is up to date with developments. * The role offers the opportunity to develop into primary stock coverage at a later stage, although this is flexible and based on the level of experience of the successful applicant. Required Background: * Competence with Microsoft Excel is essential. * Knowledge of financial accounting and/or financial analysis. * A solid record of academic achievement, excellent communication skills and the drive to offer the best client service are required. Work ethic and enthusiasm is critical. * Prior sector experience is not a pre-requisite. * Prior experience in equity markets is not a pre-requisite Desired Experience/Skills: * Accountancy qualifications are desired and advantageous. Newly Qualified ACA. * Knowledge of equity valuation is preferred but not essential as there will be on the job training. * CFA qualification, or studying towards this qualification is advantageous.
