Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Information Technology (IT) Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary The IT Security Architect is responsible for securing enterprise information by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing security standards, policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities 1. Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions. 2. Determines security requirements by evaluating PwC business and technology strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates, actively contributing in demand (project requests) in order to analyse impact for the Local Security team. 3. Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for networks, routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. 4. Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation. 5. Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts. 6. Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs. 7. Upgrades security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements. 8. Prepares system security reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends. 9. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 10. Delivering management information to the local CISO / Team Manager. Minimum job requirements 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate IT security. Deep technical experience and knowledge of Information Security, IT, networks, cloud, etc. Knowledge of IT security concepts and - procedures. Proven experience with risk frameworks. Strong written and verbal skills and a very good knowledge of English and Dutch/French. Experience in small scale project planning and reporting either individually or in a team. CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar IT security certifications are a plus.
