So far we're proud of our achievements and we are are doing a great job disrupting the broadband industry but we are definitely not stopping here. Job purpose: The Operational Security Officer role is to ensure the ongoing implementation and operational of Community Fibre security policies and systems. The role manages information security ensuring the integrity, availability & confidentiality of Community Fibre's information & data, and to provide expert advice to projects to ensure the design of systems adheres to Community Fibre information security standards and complies with regulatory standards. What you'll be doing: * Raising change request as per Change Management process * Following through Change Tasks to completion according to deadlines * Implement best practices for security, performance tuning and maintenance of servers and services * Following the security standards and best practices for the implementation and operational maintenance security systems in place (firewalls, proxy etc) * Enforces the least-privilege principle when assigning privileges * Adheres to RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) to maintain users, roles, and privileges * Proactive capacity planning for potential increase in business requirements * Setting system usage thresholds * Understanding current performance requirements * Forecast how much resource must be added to the security system to ensure that effectiveness and user experience continues uninterrupted The experience we're looking for you to bring: * Degree or related business discipline * Excellent knowledge of the computing industry * Knowledge of ISO27001 2005/2013/2015 security standard * At least five years' equivalent work experience in a Security role with detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, Routing and Switching * Knowledge of PCIDSS v3.1 Security standard * Working knowledge Firewalls, Web Filtering, Mail Filtering * Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard * Holds security industry certifications such as (Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISMP, SSCP, MSCE with Security, CCNA/CCNSP Security) * Candidates who have worked in an ITIL environment would be beneficial * Understanding of virtualization, load balancing, clustering, caching processes * Project Management Skills * Experience with monitoring tools and log management * Experience of working to and exceeding targets Why join us: * You get to work with some of the best technology in the market * Be part of an exciting scale up business where you can bring your ideas, bring your knowledge, we value your contribution * We all love time off whether that's going on an exotic holiday or a staycation, you'll get 25 days holiday to enjoy, increasing by 1 day for each year of service up to 28 days * Birthday leave, our treat to you * Keen cyclist, join our cycle to work scheme * Enjoy the perks of Vitality health * You get to work with an amazing bunch of people What happens next: You've done your bit so sit back and relax, we will review your application and come back to you.
