The Senior Software Engineer will apply scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Job Description Senior Software Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Develops, coordinates and conducts complex tests and debugs control and diagnostic system. Makes recommendations on changes in the selection and application of software production components to management, implements major components, presents designs review, and coordinates with other organizations. Responsibilities Assists the engineering manager and manager of engineering in defining the development roadmap for software in visual display system products. Responsible for supervising the implementation of software process to help improve efficiency and effectiveness of the software engineering group. Ability to coach members of the team and deal with situations when conflict arises. Actively collaborates with relevant groups to ensure a co-ordinated approach between engineering disciplines. Proactive approach to work, and responds well to changing requirements. Carries out peer reviews to ensure that standards are being met and requirements are achieved. Recognises risks /opportunities as they occur and actively manages them. Works with the engineering manager to address training needs within the team. Ability to communicate with peers, colleagues and leaders. Develops solutions to complex problems which may require innovation and ingenuity. Keeps up to date with the latest software technologies, and improvements in tools and techniques. Key Skills Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline or in the absence of a degree, appropriate proven experience.
