Follow Baker Hughes, a GE company on Twitter @BHGECo, or visit us at BHGE.com. **Role Summary:** Develop skills and experience on a single machine type from a selection of high technology CNC equipment (lathe, mills or multi axis machine centres), in order to produce components, whilst adhering to safety and quality requirements Successful candidates will undergo a structured training program on a single machine type from our selection of high technology CNC equipment (lathe, mills or multi axis machine centres). The successful candidate will also undergo training on production safety requirements and will be required to perform all tasks while ensuring Safety, Housekeeping and Quality procedures are followed at all times. Successful completion of the training will lead to the candidate having the ability to read technical drawings, create and edit conversational CNC programs, machine components to tight tolerances, perform quality control inspections as well as produce quality control recorded documents to oil and gas manufacturing standards. Training will be monitored and assessed periodically with structured support from our highly experienced staff to ensure the candidate will be given adequate opportunity to develop at a fast pace. Training may extend onto several machine types based on the skills developed, thus leading to an excellent opportunity for the candidate to begin a successful career in the industry. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Operate CNC and Semi NC Machines + Machine components to tight tolerances + Perform quality control inspections and producequality control recorded documents + Read and interpret drawings, manuals andinstructions + Create and edit conversational CNC programs + Undertake and satisfactorily complete all trainingwithin the required timelines + Develop mechanical knowledge and further experiencein the field of machining + Understand and ensure Safety, Housekeeping andQuality procedures are followed at all times + Adhere to all company policies, procedures andoperating manuals + Undertake work whilst ensuring cleanhousekeeping + Special projects as assigned. + Any Other Duties as Required **Qualifications/Requirements:** + School Certifications or equivalent (Certificates inMaths, English, Craft & Design would be beneficial) + Apprenticeship/HNC/HND in MechanicalEngineering/Machining Certification or Equivalent would be beneficial + Experience of working in a workshop environment + Experience in metal cutting / fabrication /machining (ie. lathes, mills, drills) etc. would be beneficial + An understanding of health and safety for self andothers. + Ability to read and comprehendinstructions, correspondence, and memos. + Numerical skills + Skills in adhering to health and safetyrequirements + Ability to work in a team and use owninitiative + Ability to use conventional CNC Lathes/Machines orequivalent machinery + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings,safety instructions, manuals + Problem solving skills + Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office packages,including e-mail + Organisational skills + Communication skills **Locations:** Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Scotland Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
