Requirements As our platform grows rapidly to support new and existing members we want to automate and scale even more aspects of our daily work. Were looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our technology team to provide developers and engineers with the tools, processes and infrastructure they need to be productive every day. We use JavaScript/Node.js, our developers deploy their own code to many AWS services (including ECS, Lambda and RDS) multiple times per day, with zero downtime following Continuous Delivery principles and practices. As our Cloud Platform Engineer , you will be reporting to our Head of Engineering, and working in a multi-discipline, full-stack team, where pairing, collaboration and communication are at the core of everything we do. You will have the opportunity to design, build and maintain highly available platforms in AWS to empower our technology and product teams to continue delivering high-quality products and services that process millions of quotes and insured miles per month. From configuring and deploying new infrastructure, supporting third party integrations to maintaining and scaling our CI/CD platform as a service and developer productivity, we work at pace. Last year, we raised over 4000 PRs, deploy to production multiple times a day, service 10,000s of customers and millions of journeys. Youll be given the responsibility for ensuring confidentiality of customer data while supporting organisational pace and innovation in a highly regulated industry. Were looking for someone to join our team with the following experience: * Considerable experience with AWS in a multi-account environment * Good appreciation of deploying and scaling containerised applications, ideally with ECS and auto-scaling * Real world experience monitoring and improving observability of applications within AWS * Experience designing, deploying and supporting CI and CD platforms and working in a Continuous Delivery environment, ideally using AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline * Hands-on experience using and debugging Infrastructure as Code (Iac) in production environments with Terraform and/or CloudFormation And if you have some of the below, it's an added bonus, but not essential! * Experience scaling AWS API Gateway * Experience scaling AWS Lambda * Previous experience working in a regulated industry 10% Side Project Time Innovation is something that we actively encourage and we want our talent to work on things that excite and interest them.
