Job Description

An IT Support and Technology solutions company (MSP) in Cheshire is looking for a 2nd line support engineer to join their close knit and growing team in Mold. The business focuses on the SME market, with a customer base of between 150-200 customers with an average of 10 users. This is a very fast paced environment You will be providing technical support on a wide range of products within the business, with key responsibilities and requirements including; * Taking escalated calls from customers around the North Wales and North West England * Remotely accessing customer environments to carry out detailed fault diagnostics * Providing excellent levels of customer service at all time * Travelling to customer sites as required for planned meetings or project work * Running daily checks on backups and carrying out preventative maintenance on customer environments * Preparing and building customer equipment as required * Completing small projects as required, including researching and testing new products and technologies The successful 2nd Line Support Engineer will have prior experience in a busy environment and have commercial experience in areas such as; * Microsoft Exchange * Windows 10 * Microsoft server 2012 and up * Virtualization (VMWare and Microsoft Azure) * Office 365 administration and support * Network fault finding and diagnostics * Network cabling and patching * Backup technologies * Hardware and software builds * Experience with VOIP would be beneficial but not essential This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm due to the nature of the role some flexibility in working hours will be required. No out of hours work, no weekends and no shift work. The business continuous learning and personal development will be a big part of this role with the business supporting offering Microsoft Training. The ideal candidate will be a sociable, high-calibre individual who is looking to work within a professional (none corporate) fast paced environment. In return for your hard work you will be rewarded with a basic salary of £24,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience, among other benefits and strong career progression and learning from your colleagues.
