Job Description

LRL are recruiting for an experienced Site Service Engineer to be based at either the West Bromwich or Wolverhampton sites of a leading provider of engineering solutions to the heavy industrial rotating plant and equipment sectors. These include, Water Treatment, FMCG, Manufacturing, Production, Petrochemical, Mining and Quarrying. Main Duties Include: * Read Job cards to determine the job status and work authorisations. * Test Electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot problems using AC/DC testing methods. * Disassemble parts for repairs ensuring components are match marked. * Identify and requisition replacement parts. * Repair or replace worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical parts including bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellors, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, end shields etc. * Operate specialist repair and testing equipment as required. * Support other mechanics and departments as required and directed. * Work in accordance with all H&S and Quality requirements. Required: * An industry applicable City&Guilds, HNC, NVQ or equivalent in either Mechanical, Electrical or Electro-mechanical bias. * Any other additional Mechanical / Electrical / Electro-mechanical Cards or Certifications, Desirable, however not essential: * Rigging and Slinging Certificate is desirable, however not essential. Package: * £ - Negotiable rate, depending on experience. * 25 days holiday, plus 8 statutory bank holidays. * Company Contribution Pension scheme of up to 5%. * Overtime available at the following rates * Mon - Fri: First 4 hours = Time and a Half then Double Time * Saturday, All Day = Time and a Half * Sunday, All Day = Double Time * Use of company fleet for works such as Vans, 3.5 Tonne Flat Loader Lorries. * Cycle to Work Scheme.
