They are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive Mental Health Support Worker who is after a challenge to join their team. It is our client's fundamental belief that to deliver great care, you employ great people, who consistently work to promote and uphold high care standards. To support service users with learning disabilities, mental illness and additional complex needs, to live the life they want to within the service. To support service-users in all aspects of daily living and community participation. To assist service-users in leading a valued and fulfilled life in order that they maximise their potential and can live healthy and active lifestyles as independently as possible. To drive the company vehicle in accordance with the company Drivers Policy (applicable to staff with a clean driving license.) To transport service users with learning disabilities and mental health between the service and daily activity settings ensuring service users' safety and comfort during the journey. Key Responsibilities * Assist service users with all personal care needs including undressing, bathing and toileting needs * Promote the mental and physical well-being of all service users through activities such as reading, writing and hobbies * Prepare food and drink for and with the service user, maintaining an awareness of their dietary needs and preferences * Assist service users in the correct administration of their medications, ensuring all polices and procedures are followed correctly * Accurately provide input into the service users' care plans * Promote and respect the service users right to choice, independence and control Excellent team working skills, reliability and a passion for working with an adult client group are essential for this role. A degree in Psychology is preferable.
