The team works on primary and secondary research which effectively means that the work is a mixture of live transactions - working with companies to raise money - and on-going coverage, writing reports on listed companies for the investment firm client base. Some prior experience is required, along with a desire to work in the financial markets alongside an analytical mind and motivated working attitude. The focus of the role is to support the Senior Research Analysts. Initially, you will learn about the different industries, how to analyse companies within a sector, what drives share prices and how to write to a specific audience. Any prior experience within the industry would be advantageous in succeeding in this role. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with value-added projects alongside a Senior Research Analyst to support their franchise * Manage projects - Industry, company and market analyses * Assist in the publication of research reports and presentations * Analyse emerging trends in an industry or macro economy to develop original insight and review findings with Senior Research Analysts * Update and build financial models Key Competencies: * Degree educated - 2:1 or above (preferred) * ACA, CFA or equivalent professional financial qualification * Financial modelling skills (advantageous) * Analytical mind, able to rapidly assimilate information * Self-starter - must be organised and able to work independently * Excellent communication skills to facilitate conversations both internally and externally * Competency in Microsoft Office
