About the role: An opportunity has arisen for an individual who is passionate about education and childcare to join an array of schools across South London as an SEN Teaching Assistant. We are looking to recruit eager, professional and motivated individuals looking to continue working within the SEN sector. You will: Be given the opportunity to work with children aged between 11-18yrs old. Providing personal progression and academic support by following the relevant safeguarding or EHCP plans. You will need to be a strong SEN Teaching Assistant, willing to collaborate with colleagues to continue to meet the standards required for these children to progress. You will need to be flexible and willing to work in challenging environments. For this specific role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need to have experience working with individuals with Autism. Candidate requirements: Successful candidates MUST have experience working with SEN students, so working with special needs such as Autism, ADHD, Physical difficulties, EBD, Down Syndrome etc. If you have experience using Makaton, PECS or are Team Teach trained, please do not hesitate to apply. You will have a confident and positive attitude as well as strong interpersonal skills and will be proactive and use initiative. SEN Teaching assistants must be able to show initiative, be adaptable You will hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service, or be willing to process a new one through Classroom Techers at a cost of £40 that the government charge (we add no extra administration fee) Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable!
